Location: Salmon, ID on the Lemhi River.
Land Size: 692 acres
Year Completed: 2014
Donors of Lemhi Regional Land Trust’s first ever conservation easement, Eagle Valley Ranch, owners Nikos Monoyios & Valerie Brackett purchased the historic Pine Creek Ranch situated just below the main Eagle Valley Ranch and donated a conservation easement on the Pine Creek Ranch to Lemhi Regional Land Trust in late 2014. The ranch has long been used to produce hay and cattle and still bears the name given to it by it’s former owners and long time Lemhi County residents Emmet Reese and Eleanor Steele Reese after they relocated their Hereford operation from Pine Creek near Shoup, Idaho to Salmon. This conservation easement will ensure the ability to continue these traditional uses while protecting the open spaces, wildlife habitat and wetland and riparian ecosystems that make this ranch so unique.
