Project Summary
Nikos Monoyios and Valerie Brackett, owners of Eagle Valley Ranch, have been supporters of the Lemhi Regional Land Trust since 2006. The conservation easement on their ranch was donated to the land trust in December of 2008. The protected property possesses significant agriculture and open space values, which are of great importance to the owners, people of Lemhi County, and State of Idaho.
The Eagle Valley Ranch Conservation Easement protects substantial open range, agricultural lands and scenic values. The property supports a significant commercial cattle operation and a diversity of wildlife species (including federal and state listed threatened, endangered and sensitive species).

Project Goals
Nikos and Val were interesed in crafting an easement that would allow for the continuation of the day to day activites of their working cattle ranch while preserving the scenic open space and natural resource and recreational valus of this wildlife rich landscape by limiting future develpment. Eagle Valley Ranch occupies the vast majority of the Bohannon Creek watershed.
